The Octave circuit is based on the "Tentacle" circuit by EQD or the "Green Ringer" circuit which was one of the first analog octave circuits introduced to the pedal verse. A very simple circuit but has achieved notoriety for sounding so good without the use of very many(or any) knobs at all with the likes

The Castor & Pollux pedal is a dual circuit with an Octave Up circuit on the right side and a lower gain old school Fuzz circuit on the left side. 

The Octave circuit is based on the "Tentacle" circuit by EQD or the "Green Ringer" circuit which was one of the first analog octave circuits introduced to the pedal-verse. A very simple circuit but has achieved notoriety for sounding so good without the use of very many(or any) knobs at all with the likes of Frank Zappa and Josh Homme known to be a couple of it's users.

With the hold or tap footswitch system this side can be employed effortlessly by just pressing down the footswitch as long as you want the effect activated, as long as you are pressing the switch longer than 1 second, it will deactivate when you depress the footswitch. Perfect for short bursts with less need to worry about tap dancing.

The lower gain Fuzz on the left side is based on the classic Fuzzrite circuit. Used famously on recordings by Jimi Hendrix on "Foxy Lady" and The Rolling Stones on "Satisfaction", not much else needs to be said to describe the tones you can achieve from this circuit! Low gain definitely does not equal low volume. This pedal can get loud without treading water with endless saturation. When you want your notes to sizzle but sill come out clear, this is the fuzz you might be looking for!
